Over the past few days, NY Times columnist Paul Krugman has been attacking Rep. Paul Ryan’s “Roadmap for America’s Future” with baseless attacks filled with nothing but fallacies and lies. I won’t post what Mr. Krugman has written here, but if you want to see it just start searching some of his stuff on Google and you’ll see what I mean. Rep. Ryan and Megan McArdle of “The Atlantic” have both struck back against Krugman’s lies with great pieces that I thought I’d pass along to you. I won’t try to hide it: I’m a huge fan of Rep. Ryan. He has ideas, they’ve been scored by the CBO, and he has the ability to communicate it, something most Republicans sadly lack. He is what the Republican party needs to aspire to be.
While this isn’t closely related to Rep. Ryan and his plan, I figured that I’d pass along this piece entitled Socialism 101: Why socialism cannot create a thriving economy. It’s a short piece but very good. I’ve spent time in parts of the former Soviet Union and I can relate to some of what he’s talking about in this article. I’d elaborate, and I will, but that’s for a different time. Enjoy!
